The aim of this study was to compare aerobic and anaerobic maximum power between basketball and handball players. Eleven basketball (17.3±0.8 years) and twelve handball players (16±0.8 years) were submitted to anthropometric measurements, puberal questionnaire, repeated-sprint ability tests (RSA) and Carminatti’s test (T-CAR). Significant differences were found at the age and time mean (RSA) between the players. However, at T-CAR and the maturational levels no significant differences were found. Thus, it becomes viable to apply similar maximum aerobic and anaerobic power tests between the modalities, however it is important to control the maturational levels.Downloads
