PRECONCEITO DE GÊNERO NO AMBIENTE ESCOLAR: A FORMAÇÃO DOCENTE E A DISCIPLINA DE GEOGRAFIA COMO PROMOTORAS DE UMA EDUCAÇÃO CIDADÃ

O Brasil ocupa o 7º lugar no mundo em casos de feminicídios e o estado de Alagoas ocupa o 3º lugar no ranking nacional. Nessa perspectiva, o presente trabalho, enfoca a necessidade da importância de uma formação profissional do professor, em especial o de Geografia, para promover uma educação voltada para o respeito às diferenças, contribuindo para a efetivação de uma educação para todos. Nesse estudo de natureza qualitativa optou-se pelo questionário como instrumento de recolha de dados. A investigação realizada com os alunos do Ensino Médio de uma escola pública de Maceió/AL, revelou, que um percentual significativo dos discentes inquiridos banalizam ações machistas e que desvalorizam a mulher.
