Evaluation of the Quality of Services Provided by UFSM to Immigrant and Refugee Students
Abstract
The act of migrating has an impact on society and requires the provision of support to meet the needs and meet the human rights of these people. Several reports involving solid construction are being developed and put into practice, with a view to resolving issues arising from human mobility. In this sense, this theme is a central and current discussion around the world, since it is related to all spheres that constitute a society. In particular, in Brazil, it is evident that universities play a fundamental role in welcoming this audience. In Rio Grande do Sul, the Federal University of Santa (UFSM) stands out, which has developed several extension practices aimed at serving immigrant and refugee populations. Based on this, the objective of this research was to assess the satisfaction of immigrant and refugee students who make up the UFSM student body in relation to the services provided by the same to this audience. The results obtained are presented and discussed, as well as suggestions for improvements in the care of immigrant and refugee students by the UFSM are provided.
