This work analyse direct sowing, as an stablishment technique for Pinus teada, considering season to seed and soil techniques prepare. Each sport was seeded with five with and without shelters. Damages by biotics and abiotics agents and spots with plants were evaluted in the field. The analysis of the results identified birds as principal losses agents, specially at the emergence stage. Aloso ants are insects that may bring high righ risks for direct seeding. Utilization of sowing spots shelter was indispensable and the better season for direct sowing was autumn.
