Abstract

This work shows the viability of conductometric titration of Ag+ in aqueous medium, with thioacetamide. First, the stability of thioacetamide in aqueous solution was tested. Analysis of during 5 weeks weeks did not show any concentration change in a thioacetamide solution.

To get betteraccuracy in the results o four analysis, the titrating and titrated solutions were used in different concentrations. The lowest relative error (0.12%) was found in the titration of a 0.01N solution of silver nitrate with a 0.1 N solution of thioacetamide.
