Cinema, as a mean of expression, is constituted as a holder of significant symbolic content. Therefore, it is configured as one of the major agents in the social representations construction process, which perpetuates in collective imaginaries. Thereunto, the cinematographic narrative presents, in its structure – according to Gaudreault; Jost (2009) –, nonverbal (image, music and noises) and verbal (dialogues and written references) elements. Here, our interest is to observe how the music is organized in the movie O Céu de Suely (Karim Aïnouz, 2006. English: Love for Sale: Suely in the Sky), and, thereafter, analyze how she act in the filmic narrative - i.e. in production of meaning of diegetic universe.Downloads
