This study describes the virtual contacts of the student of secondary education in the city of Pereira and analyzes how the use of social networks generates variation, change and evolution of the language. The methodology of qualitative approach and explanatory type, allows to notice that the use of social networks breaks the communicative routine, minimizes the literality of the statements in everyday life and alters the contents, imposing new grammars in the construction of messages; It configures the perception of the world by users, who assign different semantic values to the words they use on the internet, where the meaning of certain words does not always coincide with the standard norm of the Spanish language, because words under this virtual modality receive new senses and therefore could be changed.Downloads
