David William Foster has been a professor at Arizona State University for nearly 38 years. He is considered by the academic community as one of the world's leading authorities on Latin American Culture. His most constant area of work is Spanish, regularly teaching language, literature and culture courses. He received his doctorate from the University of Washington at age 23. He has an exemplary scientific production, which includes responsibility for 53 books, published in several languages and in several countries. Apart from that, he is responsible for collections of essays, monographic studies, organization of anthologies and volumes of bibliographic references for researchers.
