Schopenhauer and mysticism: about his supposed spicy criticisms of religion

The central theme of this article concerns the treatment given by Schopenhauer to religion. Throughout our exposition, we will clarify to whom are directed, in fact, the spicier critiques of our author, and thus we intend to undo the misunderstanding that Schopenhauer would be a merciless enemy of religion. Our aim, then, is to show that Schopenhauer's esteem for religion in general and for mysticism is something undoubted.
