This article aims to produce a philosophical analysis of the novel Crime and Punishment, within which it is intended to support the claim that Dostoevsky's literary world constitutes a source of artistic dialogue with Schopenhauer's philosophy. It seeks to interpret to what extent the persona Raskolnikov would translate, in literary life, certain contents conceptually developed by the author of On the Foundation of Morals, such as the primacy of the will over the intellect and the notions of egoism, character and freedom.
