The objective of this study was to analyze the satisfaction of homosexual members in cooperatives according to respect. The study was developed as exploratory research, with a qualitative approach. Sixty-three interviews were conducted with homosexual men associated with a cooperative, they answered five open questions regarding their experience as a member, and closed questions about satisfaction, respect, their relationship with the cooperative and sociodemographic data. The results show that most members feel satisfied and respected, but there are still gaps that deserve the attention of cooperatives. This study showed that there is a strong relationship between satisfaction and the respect perceived by associates. The interviews showed that many associates do not feel like members of the cooperative due to jokes made by employees. This study presents an initial discussion on the subject and indicates paths for further research.
