CRIMINAL INVESTIGATION: BETWEEN SOLUTIONS AND PROBLEMS

Abstract

Traditional criminal investigation, little permeated by technology, is in crisis due to several factors, from the low constitutional density of the means to the infeasibility of the analogical execution of some tasks. Hence, the introduction of new technologies may partially solve some problems of traditional research, but it raises other issues. The general objective in this article is to understand some technological solutions, as well as some of the respective problems. The research problem is: what are the main technological solutions that have been introduced in criminal investigation and what new problems arise from this transformation? The approach method, both in the research phase and in the writing phase of the article, is inductive, starting from the analysis of the specificities of the theme to infer a general formulation about the theme. The procedural method is monographic. The research technique is bibliographic.
