Anti-racist human training: The importance of reading “The Whiteness Pact” for teachers

This review presents the book “O pacto da branquitude”, by the author Maria Aparecida da Silva Bento, published in 2022 by Companhia das Letras. The aim of this review is to defend the importance of anti-racist training for teachers through the importance of anti-racist training for teachers through readings on the subject, including, and especially here, reading of the work cited. However, it is necessary to emphasize that not only is this reading important for such training, but is one of the possible and very coherent ways of approach to racism. Thus, such reading is important for education professionals and teachers as a possibility to learn about and reflect on the topic, recognizing the debate in society, with an emphasis on schools and educational institutions.
