Approximations to the dance content and its implications for Physical Education school

This study aims to analyze the subject of Dance and its importance as a language of arts in physical education classes. This work is part of a bibliographic research in which we intend to make approximations and estrangements to the subject-matter of Dance while art in the school environment through the analysis of reference works in the field. Therefore, the main authors covered were: Marques (2007), Nanni (2002), Ossona (1998), Vigotsky (2001) and Nascimento (2014). As the results, we indicate that the importance of Dance in the physical education classes lies in promoting to the students the appropriation of elements that compose the aforementioned activity in its specificity, as well the comprehension of Dance while language of arts has been established from a set of relationships between person, object and their social practices.
