A Participação das ONGs no Processo Decisório da OMC

Resumo

As intensas transformações ocorridas no Comércio Internacional, tais como a volatilidade da economia mundial, causada pela atuação de corporações transnacionais, e o surgimento de movimentos políticos fora do quadro dos estados territoriais, representados por movimentos separatistas e Organizações Não Governamentais - ONGs, colocam em xeque diversos institutos do direito internacional clássico. Pretendeu-se analisar por meio de uma pesquisa bibliográfica e documental, utilizando-se do método dedutivo, as consequências jurídicas no atual panorama da regulação promovida pela OMC a partir da participação de ONGs em seu processo de decisão, a fim de verificar se a atuação de tais atores não-estatais é capaz de interferir/relativizar/redefinir a atuação dos Estados no Comércio Internacional. Para consecução desses objetivos foi exposto o histórico de sua atuação, bem como sua participação na tomada de decisões da OMC.

Especialista em Direito Internacional pelo CEDIN. Mestre em Direito Internacional Contemporâneo pela UFMG. Doutorando em Direito Público pela UNISINOS. Atualmente é professor no Centro de Pesquisa do Curso de Direito da FUNORTE e professor nos cursos de Direito da FUNORTE/Januária e FUNAM/Pirapora.
