The importance of reception of law as a Comparative Law instrument to improve national legal systems

The present article is inserted in the field of study of comparative law, focusing on the application of the institute of reception of law. Its objective is to analyze the use of reception of law as an instrument to improve national legal systems, developed by a historical-legal approach of comparative law and a hypothetical-deductive approach of its distinctions with other Science branches. Next, the importance and particularities of comparative law are taken into account and then introduced into the concept of reception of law, addressing its impact for the improvement of national legal systems. From this study results the verification of the challenges for the adequate applicability of reception of law and points to conclusions about the need of greater attention for the correct application of such.
