Abstract

The paper deals with the survey of the production about Rio Grande do Sul geography, aired at assemblies of Brazilian Geographers Association – AGB, during the 1940s, 1950s and 1960s, supported by BIC-Fapergs. What we intend with the project is to systematize this production, analyzing the documents presented and produced into the distinctive assemblies carried out into the period, seeking elements for understanding the organization of Rio Grande do Sul territory, in special, its central region, from the geographers production in the mid-20th century, articulated to AGB events.
