This article deals with the way in which Historical-Critical Pedagogy conceives the construction of the social being and what implications this entails for environmental education. In order to do so, it begins with a characterization of the meaning of Historical-Critical Pedagogy as a concrete pedagogy, dealing, in the second moment, with the construction of the social being to, finally, situate the problem of the environment and its education.
