Abstract

This work focuses on some partially differential equation systems of the hyperbolic type, emphasizing its assymthotic behavior. A comparative analysis between a hyperbolic system describing a nonhomogeneous mean with a homogeneous one, was made; this correspondence was made possible due to the existence of the socalled wave operators.

Several important examples from mathematics -physics were presented. The central theorem of this work, concerning the existence of wave operators, was applied to the models.
