La perspectiva crítica de las relaciones públicas como posibilidad de renovación

El artículo aborda la corriente internacional denominada Relaciones Públicas Críticas, entendiéndola como prometedora para potenciar la renovación teórica en el ámbito nacional. Anclado en una extensa revisión bibliográfica, el texto explora los orígenes del pensamiento crítico y su propuesta de reflexión sobre los impactos de las prácticas de relaciones públicas en las dinámicas socioculturales y en las disputas por el sentido y el poder. Argumenta sobre dos puntos de aporte desde perspectiva: (a) la ruptura del aislamiento teórico del área, a partir de una ampliación de los marcos conceptuales y de los temas investigados; (b) superar el aislamiento social de las relaciones públicas, reconociendo las ambigüedades inherentes a la actividad.
