The purpose of this paper is, primarily to revise the concept of culturalidentity in the global age, and specifically to review the kind of impacttechnology has had in the ways we achieve cultural identity. The Mexican caseis hereby addressed, as an example of an ancient culture being forced tolook at different aspects of its own identity, intertwined with modernmaistream global technological phenomena.
