This study proposes to analyze the ELLE Brasil covers, throughout its 28 years, in an objective and comparative way, measuring the frequency of the sightings, which represent models of representation, and qualitatively interpreting the data. As a method, it has been applied the Content Analysis of the corpus, carefully selected. We have concluded that over the years there was an almost unisonous representativeness, privileging slim bodies of white women. The black women representation and their phenotypes were practically unseen in ELLE Brasil covers. However, in an accurate analysis of the last decade, the plurality of representations was shown, for the first time, possibly an emerging phenomenon.Downloads
