Abstract

The objective of this study is to find out how women behave in relation to the existing norms in the society in which they live, particularly considering the political, historical, cultural and patriarchal context in which they are inserted. This critical analysis is based on the short story Amor from the book Laços de familia, by Clarice Lispector, whose first edition dates from 1960. Despite this delimitation, references are made to other texts of the aforementioned work and writer in order to greater consistency to the interpretation performed.
