Application of the SIPOC tool to the process mapping of a school cooperative

As in most businesses, managing an educational organization requires good knowledge of the processes carried out in the company, but there are not always documents that demonstrate how the activities are carried out in each department and how they relate to each other. This research proposes to map the processes of a school unit, creating manuals and flowcharts that allow a better understanding of the administrative, financial, and pedagogical processes. For this, the SIPOC tool was used in the financial, administrative, and pedagogical departments to be able to identify suppliers, inputs, processes, outputs, and customers of each activity. Using the SIPOC tool, it was possible to satisfactorily map the production process, in addition to identifying and understanding the activities that meet the demands of each management. Soon after, flowcharts were created, allowing a dynamic and visual understanding of the relationships existing during financial, administrative, and pedagogical processes.
