Reports of my experience getting in touch with cartography, affection, schools, cinemas and kindergarten children

Abstract

This essay uses as its raw material reports in words and images drawn from in-person meetings of a research project that has as one of its conceptual and methodological foundations the cartography of affects — in particular, as permeated by cartographic writing and filmmaking by early childhood education children. The essay shares the experience and affectations exposed in the writing process of the essay itself and the field reports that express the reverberations generated by in-person visits to schools linked to the project. It also explains the impact that affective cartographies in words and images can have on the way of thinking about and implementing the creative process, on the ways of making art, and on the writer's notions of the body.
