A pedagogical experience

Abstract

The present text is the report of a pedagogical experience developed in an 8th grade classroom in a public school. The record of this experience shows how I explored the reproduction of Albrecht Dürer’s work, “The Avarice”, oil on canvas painted in 1507. I used as a theoretical method the intertwining of the Critical Pedagogy of Visual Art and Culture which is the base of the Mediation and Critical Analysis Instrument created by Professor Teresinha Sueli Franz, PhD. This instrument was developed in her PhD thesis, whose advisor was the Spanish Professor Fernando Hernández, PhD. This thesis was published as a book named “Educação para uma compreensão crítica da arte”.
