Nursing care to women in situation of abortion: integrative review

Abstract

Aim: an integrative review was conducted in the data bases LILACS and MEDLINE/Pubmed, in order to know the scientific production of nursing regarding the care provided to women undergoing abortion process, in the national and international context. Method: articles published in the period of 2007 to 2012 were selected, located by the descriptors abortion, nursing care and nursing. Results: 11 articles comprised the corpus of the study. Conclusions: nursing professionals need to reflect on the quality of care in cases of abortion, focusing their actions on the subject. Training and sensitization of workers can favor changes in paradigms and humanize care
