Special Issue: "Artificial Intelligence in Education: teaching practices, management and development of educational technologies"

In increasingly connected environments, educational technologies are taking on a central role in pedagogical mediation, knowledge production, and the democratization of access to education. In this context, the advancement of artificial intelligence (AI) is promoting significant changes in teaching, learning, evaluation, and educational management processes, increasing the need for discussions about its pedagogical, social, ethical, and technological impacts.
The objective of this special issue is to gather scientific contributions, in the form of research articles, tool analyses and/or experience reports, that explore the use of AI in an integrated way with educational technologies.
Submissions that engage with different perspectives related to technology development, pedagogical practices, teacher training and educational management, as well as the human and ethical aspects involved in the use of AI in education, will be welcome.
Topics of Interest
Submitted papers may address the use of AI in the following topics (but not exclusively):
- Development and evaluation of educational technologies
- Learning analytics
- Innovative pedagogical methodologies and practices
- Design of digital educational materials and resources
- Teacher training, AI literacy and digital skills
- Public policies, curriculum and educational management
- Ethics, regulation and society
- Inclusion, accessibility, equity and educational inequalities
- User experience, engagement and socio-emotional aspects
Publication: The special issue has a continuous publication flow. Submitted papers go through the evaluation process as they are received and, if approved, proceed to the editing and publication stages throughout the year.
