Licenciado em História pela Universidade de Passo Fundo, mestrado em Educação pela Universidade de Passo Fundo e doutorado em Educação pela Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul. Atualmente, é professor adjunto na Universidade Federal de Santa Maria - UFSM.
