Abstract

This work aims to analyze the effects of meaning present in police documents. These documents visualize the language in operation as something incomplete which allows the production of new sense, other possible sense. Thus, based on the theoretical framework of discourse analysis, we verified that there are in the material form traces, marks that allow us to understand through gestures of interpretation how meaning makes sense. For Discourse Analysis, understanding how the symbolic object produces senses is the crucial point for anyone wishing to work with language.
