Abstract

Não se tratará nesta reflexão de fazer uma abordagem dos termos Jogo, Esporte e Desporto numa relação apenas semântica, mas também pragmática, pois a análise da linguagem das diversas culturas não conduz a uma compreensão do conteúdo e sentido destas expressões.

Embora os argumentos de HUIZINGA (1971) em favor do uso do ter­mo Jogo para designar o que chamamos Esporte ou Desporto, sustentare mos esta divisão na tentativa de emprestar-lhes significados distin­tos relacionados com aqueles (o homem) que com eles interagem.

Estabeleceremos que o Jogo está contido no Esporte e no Despor­to e assim, o Esporte no Desporto, conforme a representação na figu­ra.
