Abstract

Throughout 2011 the arab State model has begun to change. It may be a generalized trend in the coming years. It will be a time of both risks and opportunities while profound changes will probably arrive around the Mediterranean in the field of security. The western countries advice and support to the revolutionary processes is essential, but those nations must remain vigilant on possible deviations that endanger both the desire for freedom and social justice as well as security in the international arena and especially in the Mediterranean area.
