Os partidos políticos e a formação de capital social mediante a sociabilidade política

The present article claims for theoretical elements which have the political institutions as central for the constitution of a democratic State. With this kind of knowledge studies in the field of Political Science are underlined with highlight in the concept of social capital. The purpose that emerges from the conceptual and theoretical rescue exposed here is presenting the way in which the political parties can legitimate and justify their existence through the promotion of values and attitudes concerning of trust, cooperation and widen of the political participation. Given that the level of social capital of a society reflects in the quality of its democracy, there is a reflection about the lack of certain practices in the way of doing politics by the Brazilian parties for the establishment of a new political culture.
