Dialoguing about Biotechnology in High School: report of an extension experience

This work aimed to report experiences lived by extension students of the "Dialogando Project on Biotechnology in Timbiras (MA)". The project aims to disseminate the discussions related to Biotechnology with High School students of the state school Paulo Freire (Timbiras, MA). The project was divided into four stages: First stage: it consisted of a training of the team; Second stage: there was the application of a diagnostic evaluation and explanation of the project; Third stage: it took place through lectures on topics related to Biotechnology; Fourth stage: two workshops were produced with the themes Cloning and Transgenic Organisms, and along with the reproduction of films that addressed various areas of Biotechnology. Considering the perception of the executing team and responses of reapplication of the diagnostic evaluation, the expected results with the project were achieved since it was possible to discuss Biotechnology themes.
