Benefícios da atividade física para o desenvolvimento da criança com Transtorno do Espectro Autista (TEA): uma revisão sistemática

Resumo

Este estudo investigou os benefícios da atividade física no desenvolvimento global (motor, sensorial e social) de crianças com Transtorno do Espectro Autista (TEA). De maneira específica, realizou uma análise bibliométrica da literatura encontrada; identificou os tipos de atividades físicas e os locais mais utilizados em intervenções para o desenvolvimento global de crianças com TEA; e avaliou os resultados relatados na literatura quanto aos impactos específicos da atividade física em cada área de desenvolvimento. Trata-se de uma revisão sistemática, com busca em cinco bases de dados, triagem dupla independente, avaliação da qualidade metodológica e extração padronizada de dados. Foram selecionados 30 artigos, dos quais 13 foram ensaios clínicos, 14 estudos quase-experimentais ou piloto e 3 relatos de caso, totalizando cerca de 750 crianças de 2 a 14 anos. Programas de habilidades motoras fundamentais predominaram, seguidos por protocolos aquáticos, exergames, condicionamento geral e formatos híbridos, aplicados sobretudo em escolas, ginásios universitários e piscinas terapêuticas. Intervenções com 12 semanas ou mais e carga semanal igual ou superior a 120 minutos elevam o quociente motor global, aumentam o engajamento acadêmico e reduzem comportamentos disruptivos, enquanto abordagens multissensoriais atenuaram a hiper-reatividade tátil. Conclui-se que a atividade física constitui uma estratégia multidimensional eficaz, mas destaca-se a necessidade de ensaios multicêntricos de longo prazo, padronização da dose e inclusão de participantes com maiores necessidades de suporte para fortalecer futuras recomendações de prática.
