This paper describes a work on an alternative solution to the orientation problem by humanoid robots in RoboCup soccer matches. Using only a webcam, the robot does an analysis of frames received with frames previously stored to stipulate the orientation of the robot on the field. This technique, if successful, will present a solution to a very common problem in robot soccer matches: the own goal.Downloads
