Abstract

Informal scientific dissemination can reach a diverse audience interactively, facilitating understanding and democratizing knowledge. In this context, the zoological collection, originally established on a developing campus of the Federal University of Triângulo Mineiro, evolved into the Museum of Zoology and Science Outreach - MUZEC, a zoological museum with both physical and virtual presence. This initiative expanded its engagement through events and educational institutions, provided pedagogical support materials for teachers, and disseminated scientific knowledge and biodiversity awareness via a digital platform that has recorded over 50,000 accesses.

Larissa, Universidade Estadual Paulista "Julio de Mesquita Filho"

Master's degree in Biological Sciences/Zoology from the Universidade Estadual Júlio de Mesquita Filho (UNESP, Botucatu) and Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences from the Universidade Federal do Triângulo Mineiro (UFTM-MG). Works as a teacher in Upper Elementary and High School in public and private schools in Iturama, where she also coordinates projects, laboratories, and educational technology initiatives.

Student in the Specialization Course in Educational and Socio-environmental Practices at the Universidade Federal do Triângulo Mineiro (UFTM). Volunteers at the Museum of Zoology and Science Outreach and conducts research in herpetology.
