This paper proposes a dialogue with Gilles Lipovetsky's work about woman to observe her position in society. We analyse a product of the media culture which had great repercussion in Brazil, the sitcom Sex and the City, to show that the indetermined woman that Lipovetsky refers to is still far away from being reached.
