Abstract

Abstract:
Higher education has been significantly impacted by the expansion of hybrid and online learning, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. In this context, the investigative community approach emerges as a strategy that integrates social, cognitive, and teaching dimensions, fostering collaborative and critical learning.
Objective: To analyze the convergence between the investigative community and Paulo Freire’s pedagogical principles in nursing education.
Method: Qualitative bibliographic review based on national and international studies on investigative communities and Freirean pedagogy in health education.
Results: The integration of the investigative community with Freirean pedagogy enhances collective knowledge construction, student engagement, and the repositioning of the teacher as a facilitator.
Conclusion: This articulation promotes meaningful, inclusive, and practice-oriented learning, contributing to the development of critical, reflective professionals committed to social demands.
