Study-work adjustment: analysis to the UAB/UFSM graduates

Abstract

The study analyzes the adjustment between work and education of graduates in the Open University of Brazil in the Federal University of Santa Maria. Methodologically were applied descriptive analysis; factor analysis and binary logistic regression analysis. From 179 respondents, the most graduates were performing activities related to their study, with 84.6% of the graduates are in horizontal match, 81.9% in mere vertical match and 74.5% in full match. The mains characteristics of the work that influenced both the vertical and horizontal adjustment were type of employer, economic sector of work and the professor. To the horizontal adjustment, the main impact was being employed as a teacher, as form vertical and total, the economic sector of employment was the determinant main.
