Abstract

The article presents the proposed study / research in order to perquirir on contributions, limits and contradictions of academic theorizing related to the city. Therefore, as a result of my career, and the upgrade of the agent, and the changes in / of the city, is that it makes relevant and necessary to such a study and reflection. To this end, permeates the work on the production and re-production of (un) awareness of social justice / at the local / city. Therefore, the Rio Grande-RS in general and in particular is the scene of this movement, given its genesis and its attendant changes, along with its uncertainty to the future through the inseparability between the social and economic, to reflect on the individual of / in the city, it takes planning and a critical need for inside and outside the city.
