The focus this study is the urban space and the riverside experiences in a city of the Amazon region, located in the Baixo Tocantins zone. It to intends to analyze the urban practices and social experiences from riverside space, as well as its relationship with the urban development policies in the Cametá city (Pará State). From study about relationship city-river in this city, it was noticed the intensity and the importance of the everyday life in the riverside to the understanding of the urban process in the present time. However, sometimes it is not well recognized in the intentions of the public power in the municipal, state and federal level. In recent years, this is evidenced from public interventions toward local urban space.Downloads
