Abstract

The research that led to this text represents one of the activities included on the program of Incentive to Extension Fund (FIEX) Universidade Federal de Santa Maria (UFSM). The extension project participated of the activities of NGO Igualdade/Santa Maria to understand the cultural and political issues of different social subjects of the city. Activities for disseminating the work of NGOs were also promoted, as well as the discussions of these themes and other transversal themes, like Cultural Plurality and Sexual Orientation according to the PCN's (1997), along with teachers of the School of Basic Education Marieta d 'Ambrosio.
