The abiotic elements of the landscape stand out for their intrinsic, cultural, aesthetic, economic, functional, scientific and didactic values. However, studies that address the teaching of geodiversity in basic education, which explore its didactic value, deserve further study. The objective of this work is to carry out a bibliometric review in order to identify the global scientific production on the teaching of geodiversity in education, to understand how the didactic value is explored by the scientific community, in addition to contributing to the advancement and dissemination of studies on this topic. The research was carried out in the scopus database, using the terms “geodiversity” and “education” with the Boolean operation “AND”. Then, a filter was carried out to select only the documents of interest to this research. The results indicate that from a total of 1424 works on geodiversity, 138 documents addressed geodiversity and education, and of these, 110 are scientific articles, all published from 2000 onwards. 24 articles that directly address the topic of the concept of geodiversity in basic education. The results show the need for more in-depth studies on the concept of geodiversity in basic education and indicate the main methods and approaches used in the classroom. It is hoped that this research will contribute informing the current scientific production about the subject.
