Abstract

The objective of this study is to identify the challenges faced by nurses in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic for the care of preterm infants. This is an integrative literature review with articles from the LILACS, MEDLINE and BDENF databases through the Virtual Health Library (VHL). The inclusion criteria were: articles published between January 2020 and April 2022, as well as articles available in English, Portuguese and Spanish. Of the eleven (11) articles found, most of them in English and corresponded to Italy and the United States, respectively, on the other hand, a percentage of 27.27% of national articles were found. It is concluded that this study contributes to identify that even with the difficulties faced by the COVID-19 pandemic, there was an improvement for nursing practice.
