Abstract

This article presents the experience report of a University extension activity focused on promoting women’s health and personal hygiene, carried out in a public school in the municipality of Ananindeua, Pará, Brazil. The initiative aimed to promote knowledge and raise awareness about health and intimate hygiene among female adolescents through educational, illustrative, and dialogical activities. The action was conducted by nursing students, who were responsible for organizing and implementing the activities with the participants. The results indicated that the adolescents understood the topics addressed and, as a result, showed changes in their perception and attention to healthy practices. The experience contributed to strengthening the students’ practical training and fostering a closer relationship between the university and the community.
