Abstract

This work aimed to report an educational action with a sensory experience about Smoking with students from the public school system. This is an experience report approached in a descriptive and qualitative way. An educational action with sensory experience was carried out with 110 students in the 5th year of Elementary School at a public school in Londrina, Paraná. The action with sensory experience took place in November 2023, and was organized in the form of a circuit so that everyone could register, through their senses, the positive issues of having a healthy life and the negative issues caused by tobacco. It is concluded that it is necessary to expand the approach to issues related to health promotion in collective and initial school spaces and that awareness-raising and dialogical interventions in a positive environment contribute to health promotion and, especially in healthy choices for life, such as saying no to smoking.
