Abstract

The aim of this paper is to estimate the volume of employment and direct, indirect and induced income in the economy of paraná state in 2006, by level of education. The used methodology was the input/output analysis and, to disaggregate the number of employment by the educational level, it has been used the national household survey sample. The results showed that the largest employment multiplier is found in the activity other services, to workers between 11 and 12 years of study. In the manufacturing industry, the largest employment multiplier was found in the metallurgy industry of nonferrous metals, also with workers between 11 and 12 years of study. To the income multiplier, it has been distinguished the educational market activity, with 60,75% jobs with workers between 11 and 15 years of study.
