Aiming to verify the behavior of the indexes of
Informality of the Brazilian and gaucho economies, making a comparative of those, in the period that comprises the decades of 1980 and 1990, this article treats of these indices in their entirety and by branches of activity. Using data extracted from the PNAD, it was found that the total informality indices are higher in the RS, which is mainly determined by the magnitude of the indexes of the agricultural activity sector. It was also found that the indices of informality present a tendency to elevation.
