Influência dos Fluxos de Superficie no Desenvolvimento de Ciclones Extratropicais Sobre o Atlântico

Luiz Felippe Gozzo, Rosmeri P. Rocha

Abstract

The role of sensible heat and moisture fluxes between oceanand atmosphere in the development of extra tropical cyclones is analyzedusing simulations from WRF model.Surface fluxes intensified the studied cyclones, providing largerlatent heat release in mid-troposphere. This enhanced convective activityis associated to a greater convergence in the boundary layer at frontalregions, because of a favorable distribution of surface fluxes relative tothe cyclone.
